<div itemprop="description">It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Eileen Patricia Collins at Kensington Gardens Nursing Homes in Toronto, Canada. She passed on&nbsp; September 19, 2012 after struggling with Alzheimers Disease for the last twelve years.&nbsp;&nbsp; She was ninety-two years old when she passed. <br /> <br /> <br /> She is survived by her daughter, Philippa Weekes-Brown, her Son-in-law, Justin Hylton, her two aunts, Agatha Telford and Sheila Clark, her grandchildren, and her great-granchildren.&nbsp; Preceded in death by her sons, John and Leroy (Roy) Collins and her daughter, Faye Hylton. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> She was born in Georgetown Guyana in the Mahica District on July 29, 1920 and immigrated to Canada on May 26, 1969.&nbsp; Soon after arriving in Canada, Eileen studied in the&nbsp;Health-care field.&nbsp; Attained a&nbsp;Health-Care Aide certificate and commence working for Extendicare Nursing Homes.&nbsp; She was employed&nbsp;by them&nbsp;for several years before retiring in 1985.&nbsp; Eileen was passionate in her work and in her faith.&nbsp; She became a devout Jehovah's Witness and worked tirelessly in speading the word.&nbsp; Her devotion and dedication kept her active and living life with a purpose until stopped by&nbsp; Alzheimers' Disease.&nbsp; She was often seen witnessing in the Jane and Finch area and was well loved by the sisters and brothers of her congregation.&nbsp; Eileen was a strict disciplinarian but a selfless, kind and caring mother and grandmother. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> You toiled so hard for those you loved. <br /> <br /> You said goodbye to none, <br /> <br /> Your spirit flew before we knew, <br /> <br /> Your work on earth was done. <br /> <br /> We miss you now, our hearts are sore, <br /> <br /> As time goes by we miss you more. <br /> <br /> Your loving smile, your gentle face. <br /> <br /> No one can fill your vacant place. <br /> <br /> Your life was love and labor. <br /> <br /> Your love for your family true. <br /> <br /> You did the best for all of us. <br /> <br /> We will always remember you. <br /> <strong> <em> <br /> <br /> Author unkown </em> </strong> <br /> <br /> </div>
