Marisa Celli, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 29, 2015.

From her birth in Anagni, Frosinone Italy on January 21, 1931 to her death on Thursday she nourished people around her with love. She was born to Antonio and Eugenia (Anelli) Rosatella and was the second youngest of 7 children. In 1953, at the age of 22, she immigrated to Toronto along with her brothers Alfredo and Guilliermo. There she met Antonio Celli, and they married on June 26, 1954.

Left to honour Marisa and remember her love are her two daughters, Elizabeth (Domenic)Tersigni and Sandra (Ian Stewart) Celli, two beloved grandchildren; Katherine and Karen Tersigni, her younger brother, Guilliermo (Teresa) Rosatelli; and many nieces and nephews both in Canada and in Italy.
Marisa was preceded in death by her husband Antonio (2004), her brothers Leopoldo and Alfredo, and her sisters Angelina, Rita and Anna.

Marisa will be remembered as a consummate homemaker, who loved her home and worked tirelessly to care for her family. An accomplished cook and seamstress, her attention to detail was never more clearly demonstrated than by the beauty of the garden she tended in the summer months. Always giving of her time and of her love, she will be sorely missed by her immediate and extended families and her friends.

The Tersigni and Celli families would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital and to Toronto Emergency Services. Donations may be made in Marisa's name to The Sunnybrook Foundation (Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care Program).
