Irene "Rockin' Irene" Spurgaitis (Laviolette Aldrich)
May 4, 1935 - August 22, 2015
"Rockin' Irene" Laviolette Aldrich Spurgaitis passed away Saturday, August 22nd, 9:05 a.m. at Humber River Hospital.
Although she had a recent diagnosis of terminal lung cancer, it appears she succumbed to a complex medical condition that she has had for many years.
Even though Mom suffered greatly, she continued to live her life to the fullest. Her strength and courage was incredible. Mom would say, "Life is for living...not just surviving!" She did just that!
Greatly loved, she lives on in the hearts and memories of children Chris & Joyce, daughter-in law, Heather, grandchildren, Jessica(Storm), Joseph(Jiin), Jolene, Yvonne(Brett) & Dale(Britanny), great-granchildren, Isaac & Aurora, sisters-in-law, Biruta & Mary, and thousands of students who enjoyed her, as she entertained them at Ye Olde Brunswick House.
We welcome your stories, memories, pictures and anything else you would like to share.
Thank you for being a part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity. Mom would love that!
