<div itemprop="description">&quot;Rockin' Irene&quot; Laviolette Aldrich Spurgaitis passed away Saturday, August 22nd, 9:05 a.m. at Humber River Hospital. <br /> <br />Although she had a recent diagnosis of terminal lung cancer, it appears she succumbed to a complex medical condition that she has had for many years. <br /> <br />Even though Mom suffered greatly, she continued to live her life to the fullest. Her strength and courage was incredible. Mom would say, &quot;Life is for living...not just surviving!&quot; She did just that! <br /> <br />Greatly loved, she lives on in the hearts and memories of children Chris &amp; Joyce, daughter-in law, Heather, grandchildren, Jessica(Storm), Joseph(Jiin), Jolene, Yvonne(Brett) &amp; Dale(Britanny), great-granchildren, Isaac &amp; Aurora, sisters-in-law, Biruta &amp; Mary, and thousands of students who enjoyed her, as she entertained them at Ye Olde Brunswick House. <br /> <br />We welcome your stories, memories, pictures and anything else you would like to share. <br /> <br />Thank you for being a part of her life. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity.
