<div itemprop="description">GUERAN, Bernice <br />Peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Providence Healthcare at the age of 87. Dear sister of Grace Lindsay and Don Gueran. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Emily Gueran, and siblings Margaret, Bill, Phyllis, Kay, Connie and Roy. Bernice was a loving and devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. She had a wide circle of friends, all who remember her with great affection. <br />Bernice worked at Union Carbide for 46 years until her retirement at age 65 in 1992. She travelled the world, and enjoyed her annual trips down south with family and friends. Bernice was a volunteer extraordinaire and recipient of the June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism which recognized her commitment to volunteerism and longstanding service to her community. She was a proud member of the congregation at Central United Church in Weston. Bernice&rsquo;s generous heart and kind nature touched so many. She will be deeply missed by her loving family, who all had a special place in her heart. <br />The family acknowledges with sincere gratitude, the kind and caring staff at Providence Healthcare. Friends may call at the &ldquo;EGLINTON CHAPEL&rsquo; of the MC DOUGALL FUNERAL HOMES 1812 Eglinton Ave. West (at Dufferin St.) 416-782-1197 on Saturday February 14, 2015 from 10am-12pm. Memorial Service to be held in the chapel at 12pm with reception following. Bernice&rsquo;s ashes will be interred at Prospect Cemetery. <br />As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hazel Burns Hospice. <br /></div>
