Kenneth was born in Saltibus, a rural community in the village of
Laborie. He was raised by his uncle and wife along with two of his brothers and stepsister. Growing up as a young man, Kennneth was very hard working, he helped with the gardening and other chores which was assigned to him. When he was between the ages of 18 to 19 years old he moved to the big city, Castries, there he joined the hotel industry as a bartender. He was a very good worker, who worked at various hotels including, East Winds, Holiday Inn, Malabar, Halcyon, La Toc Hotel etc. While working at the hotel he met this pretty girl Berlinda Delice from Monchy(Gros Islet), they fell in love, had 2 kids and got married in 1988. Kenneth has 4 other Boys.( I bet you did'nt know, the ages of his 6 kids are as follows: 38,38,40,40,42,42, some guy huh). After working in that industry for so many years, he got tired of it, he wanted a change so he went back to Saltibus and he began life as a farmer. He grew bananas and other fruits and vegetables, he also had animals (cows, pigs and sheep). Kenneth is an individual who likes
exploring, he took a break from farming, bought a mini van and
became a bus driver. He did that for a number of years but after a while he got tired of it, he went back to his farming. Things started getting slow in the banana industry, he packed up and move d back to Monchy(Gros Islet). He worked briefly at the Vigie Beach hotel and Rendevous hotel doing what he loved best, bartending.
After a few years he left the hotel industry for good and opened a small store in the Monchy community selling clothing items. Things began good but after some bad experiences with unworthy customers, he closed down his shop and decided to try something new and I'm sure you all know what I'm getting at, he migrated to Canada in 1999 and here he lived until his untimely death in 2014.
I can't tell much about his life up here, but I'm sure you all know him as a loving, caring, jovial, hard working individual who would do
anything to help out a family or friend. Nothing was never too much for him to do for anybody. He was also a very skilled painter and plumber. He was a music lover, reggae and country music were his favourites. Kenneth we love you very much, there ain't words to describe how we feel, may your soul rest in perfect peace.
